My Take On It
The entire quest for disclosure about UFOs and related materials has me somewhat puzzled and when I'm puzzled I like to take a little time and examine that puzzle from all sides. The big question on disclosure boils down to nothing more than why is it that the governments are holding back information about UFOs from the people? This of course presupposes that there is information to hold back. Polls show that, as much as 80% of the American population believes their government is covering up information about UFOs_so_not wanting to rock the boat, let's assume for the purposes of this exercise that there is an active cover-up going on. The next hurdle to overcome is whether the American and other governments are covering up information related to UFOs and Extraterrestrial beings or if it is in fact something else. In anticipation of the upcoming 'Taken' series, the Sci-Fi channel in the United States commissioned a new poll and the numbers are interesting to say the least. Some 56% of the respondents to the poll said they believe UFOs are real and an additional 11%, bringing the total to 67%, believe there are other forms of intelligent life in the universe. So, once again, let's assume that what the governments are covering up does concern UFOs and Extraterrestrials which means that finally we get down to why? One of the very first theories as to why they're covering it up assumes that it would destroy the foundations of religious beliefs throughout the world_but_back to the sci-fi station's poll again shows us that 88% of the respondents feel that disclosure would have no effect on their religious beliefs. Another theory that disclosure of such things would be detrimental to us assumes that we'd all go crazy if they told us we'd all start drinking bottled water we'd minimize human contact and start communicating using computersand probably do stuff like pierce our bodies with sharp jewelry. Once again, the SCI-Fi poll shows that 74% of the people feel they are psychologically ready to learn about UFOs and aliens. The final theory comes from a paper prepared by the Brookings Institute that was delivered to the 82nd Congress of the United States in 1961. In that report they stated that the consequences of our meeting a technologically advanced civilization would probably be the assimilation of our society by the more advanced society. So perhaps this is the big nut to crack before we are allowed to know what the government has been hiding from us. And how do we crack this nut? If this is the reason that the governments are holding back full disclosure from us the answer lies in education. Knowledge is power and if we as a society are aware and know about a danger, we can defuse that danger by simply studying our history. We can place safeguards up against being overcome by another civilization to ensure that our civilization remains. So, in reality there really is no reason for Disclosure to be held back from us_unless of course, the governments are afraid that the aliens are just going to take away all our strawberry ice cream..... But that's just my take on it! |
