My Take On It

'Ufologists argue from ignorance'... according to Dr. Joe Nickel of CSICOP. In other words, we see something we can't identify in the sky and immediately brand it as an Unidentified Flying Object and then we challenge others to explain what we've seen. Our battle-cry, supposedly, is that whatever we've seen can't be explained therefore it must be a flying saucer or a craft from another planet. We use the term 'unexplained' a lot and we don't offer any hard evidence of our claims. All of these things we have been charged with and found guilty, by CSICOP, if you follow a term called 'The Burden Of Proof'.

The burden of proof is on us to prove the existence of UFOs. It is not on the skeptics to prove that UFOs don't exist, it is up us to prove that they do exist. In other words, the next time somebody sees an Unidentified Flying Object, could you please make contact with the craft... get the vehicle identification number, the model and year of the craft and of course the planet of origin and do something like break off the rear view mirror or something so we can have hard evidence to prove existence to CSICOP. Hmmmm. Slight problem with that though... if you manage to do all that, then of course we no longer have an Unidentified Flying Object... it would become an Identified Flying Object, and CSICOP could still say there was no such thing as UFOs - and get away with it.

The reality of this of course is hogwash and I'm being charitable when I use the term. CSICOP's battle-cry is that there are no UFOs and they are the ones saying "Prove it!" However, they don't bother to do any investigation into any of the sightings of UFOs. They proclaim, that all photographic and videographic evidence is hoaxed, and do their damndest to prove that it is. CSICOP would have us believe that Astronauts, Pilots, Astronomers, Police Officers, Lawyers, Judges, Doctors, Architects, Priests, Ministers and Military Officers have nothing better to do than either lie to us, or make up stories, about the UFO sightings that they have had.

CSICOP claims that Ufology is nothing more than pseudoscience because any claim that someone is visiting us from another planet is shot down by Carl Sagan's claim that Light Speed or faster, travel is impossible.

Talk about pseudoscience.....

According to Carl Sagan, we don't know how to do it right now therefore it doesn't exist!

The reality of Ufology is this: Although Dr. Joe Nickel would have us believe that UFO sightings are 'out of vogue' and on the decline, the numbers of UFO sightings have been going up!

The reports indicate that there are literally thousands of sightings every single year in almost every corner of the globe. Photographic, videographic and radar evidence has been collected. Multiple first-hand witnesses, who don't know each other, make reports about seeing the same thing. Trace evidence collected at landing sites has been gathered and all of this has been done by responsible ufologists who are interested in the same thing that I am.

No, Dr. Nickel, we're not saying that UFO sightings are inexplicable, quite the contrary, we're saying that they are explainable! Serious ufological investigators are not trying to illustrate that something is inexplicable, they are doing their very best to prove exactly what Unidentified Flying Objects really are.

But that's just my take on it.....
