Strange Days... Indeed - #181

My Take On It
President George Bush senior signed The Kennedy Act into being which unlocked the secrecy around documents relating to the Kennedy Assassination for one reason only. "To let the people know that the government doesn't lie." "The story about aliens and alien spacecraft visiting our planet is far too large for any government to cover up," is the battle cry of debunkers. "The Air Force has investigated the whole UFO phenomenon with Project Blue Book and they found that there is nothing to it," is the often-misspoken determination. In fact, when they finished with Project Blue Book, the Air Force simply came to a conclusion that the UFO phenomenon posed no threat to National Security. 'The government doesn't lie, the story is too big, and there is no threat to National Security.' If you keep saying it long enough, maybe you'll start to believe it. But how about we step outside that nice, safe sounding little phrase and examine some reality. The government doesn't lie - yeah, and the cheque is in the mail too. In August of 1997, the United States Federal government confessed that Cold War nuclear tests exposed 230,000 Americans to high levels of radioactivity - and may cause 75,000 people to develop fatal thyroid cancer. The National Cancer Institute admitted that government nuclear tests in the 1950s and 1960s showered the lower 48 states with Iodine 131 - and exposed people in five states to enough radiation to cause lethal thyroid cancer. The interesting part of this cover-up is the length of time that it took to come out as an official document. In 1982, Congress ordered a study into the health consequences of the Nevada nuclear tests, but the National Cancer Institute didn't issue a report until August of 1997 - a mere 15 years later. Now I can hear some of you saying that the government hadn't lied - but take a second and think about how we were all told how SAFE atomic energy was and how if we just ducked and covered we'd all be nice and safe in the event of a nuclear attack. The story is too big for it to be covered up. I absolutely LOVE this little taunt about the ongoing cover-up of UFOs. The Manhattan Project was TOO big to be covered up as well. There were 10's of thousands of people associated with the development of the Atomic Bomb. There were rumours about atomic bombs out there for years but they were easily handled with careful manipulation of information. Anything that tried to come out about the project in the desert quickly got either squashed or changed before the information got out there. In otherwords, a careful job of disinformation was going on all around us. But all in all, the reality of the Manhattan Project came as a complete surprise to everyone in the world. The final piece within the mantra is the strange conclusion to Project Blue Book. "There is no threat to National Security." That little statement says nothing and everything. First, they are not saying WHAT UFOs are or where they come from and they are not even saying that they in fact exist. All they are saying is that the U.S. Air Force and other military groups don't have to worry about Fighting them. In fact - if you think about it a little, there is no way on earth that someone can determine something can't be a threat unless they know enough information about exactly what it is, where it comes from and what it can do. It is physically impossible to determine whether something is SAFE or NOT unless you know everything about it. So there you have it, a little reality about "The government doesn't lie, the story is too big, and there is no threat to National Security." When evidence like that is in abundance, It boggles my mind when people say that there is no government cover-up regarding UFOs - but that's just my take on it! But that's just my take on it! |
